The Royal Beach Hotel, Portsmouth

Our next holiday has been organised in Portsmouth and offers not only the usual bridge activities, but opportunities to visit the many sights that Portsmouth offers. These include The Historic Dockyards, including HMS Victory and the Mary Rose, D-Day Museum, Royal Marines Museum, Portsmouth City Museum and many other attractions and sights all with a short distance of the hotel.

The Best Western Royal Beach hotel is situated on the sea front in Southsea, two miles from Portsmouth City Centre. The hotel has 3-Star rating, and the bedrooms offer cable or satellite television, telephone, coffee/tea maker, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, trouser press. All rooms have private bath or shower.

Andrew Kambites will give daily seminars and will once again be our resident director. There will be bridge on Monday evening followed by two sessions of bridge on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The holiday is licensed by the English Bridge Union (to be confirmed) and is open to all bridge players; it is not necessary to be a member of any club, county association or the English Bridge Union to participate. It is designed to be fun for all from the inexperienced to regular club players.

There are only 20 single rooms available at a supplement of £60. Double/twin rooms are also available for single occupancy at a supplement of £100. Please note that no booking will be accepted without a completed booking form and a deposit of £50 per person, and confirmation of who your playing partner will be, so make every effort to pair off before booking.
