Applying for Full Membership

The Committee has agreed the following procedure, which will be applied normally, but at the discretion of the Committee:

When an Associate Member applies for full membership, the Associate will be asked to attend six Full Members’ club nights (Mondays or Fridays) as a visitor, and to show a reasonable performance consistent with the field.

Anybody applying directly for full membership, who is not known to the Committee, may be asked to follow the same procedure.

This measure has been introduced, not to deter people from becoming full members, since clearly the Club thrives on the influx of new players, but in order to assure the maintenance of quality of play in the Club. This new measure has been generally welcomed.
